Between 10am and 12pm, there will be a coffee morning and a chance to Care Home Manager, Rachel Barber. From 3pm to 4pm professional singer Sophie Urquhart will be leading a musical performance in the dining room, where you can also join in with some popular songs, including some old wartime favourites. There will also be the chance to meet some of the residents and staff, and to hear their stories about life at Lamel Beeches. The day will finish with tea, coffee and cakes.
Lamel Beeches is a care home with 40 residents. It is a friendly, relaxed place to live, with a building full of character – some parts of it are 100 years old – and lots of green space. It already has many links with the local community, including with a nearby children’s day nursery, but Care Home Manager Rachel Barber and her team are always keen to make more connections with individuals, families and community groups.
The highest standards of care and support services are provided by a dedicated team of qualified nurses and carers. This includes:
- personal care and support (residential care)
- nursing care
- diet and nutrition advice, with special diets catered for.
Lamel Beeches is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to provide both residential and nursing care.
Our services are relationship-centred, which means they focus on the importance of positive relationships between older people, relatives and staff. We take time to find out what is important to each individual. This helps us to provide them with services that best meet their needs.
